About VidoSick

VidoSick is a free video toolkit that runs in your browser tab instead of on a server. There is no account and no upload. A file you open here never leaves your machine, so a job that would mean waiting on someone else's queue usually finishes in seconds instead.

That is possible because the browser itself now ships the pieces a video editor used to need a server for: WebCodecs for hardware-accelerated encoding, and enough decoding power to run speech-to-text locally. Where the browser cannot do a job (GIF encoding, mainly), the tool falls back to ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly instead of pretending the job is free. How it works goes through which operations copy a file's data and which have to re-encode it, with the numbers behind each claim.

Privacy by design

Every calculation, encode and transcription happens on your device, and there is no upload endpoint for your media to reach. The site does count visits and report crashes: Google Analytics only if you accept it, Cloudflare’s cookie-free visit counts, and error reports to Sentry. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what each one receives, and the footer’s Privacy choices link changes your answer at any time.
